日本では、１２月３１日に、そばを食べる習慣があります。
これを、「年越しそば」といいます。
たくさんの日本人が１２月３１日にそばを食べます。
おそば屋さんが売上を上げるために始めた とも言われています。
また、大掃除をしたり、あとは、夜にはおもしろいテレビ番組がたくさんあります。
とても長い歌のテレビ番組もあります。
「紅白歌合戦」というテレビ番組です。
みなさんは、１２月３１日をどのように過ごしますか？
家族と過ごしたり、友達をパーティーをしたり、色々あると思います。
日本では、１２月３０日〜１月３日までが、New Year Holidayです。
海外では、１月１日から仕事を始める人も多いんですかね？

Many Japanese people eat soba on December 31.
