今日のテーマは、昼寝についてです。
皆さんは毎日昼寝をしていますか?
私は平日は、出来る限り昼寝を取るようにしています。
大体ランチの時間に、10分位の昼寝をしています。
昼寝といっても、毎回眠れるわけではないので、しかし目をつぶってています。
10分間アイマスクをつけて、目をつぶっています。
これだけでもだいぶ回復できます。
昼寝はパワーナップとも呼ばれていてて、とても効果があります。
お昼ご飯を食べると、眠くならないですか?
私は眠くなってしまうので、大体1時から3時位の間は、集中力が下がってしまいます。
それを防ぐために2つのことをしています。
1つ目は、お昼ご飯に、ご飯を食べるのをやめました。
白いご飯の代わりに、今はオートミールを食べています。
これだけでも、だいぶ眠くならなくなりました。
2つ目は昼寝です。
10分間目をつぶります。
昼休憩の間に携帯電話を触る人も多いと思います。
SNSをチェックしたり、YouTubeを見たり、いろいろする人も多いかと思います。
しかし私の経験上、お昼の休憩時間に携帯電話を触っていると、とても疲れます。
やはり、脳がとても動いてしまって、休憩できなくなります。
なので今のところ、10分間の昼寝、もしくは目をつぶるだけでも大丈夫です。
それがとてもいいなと思って続けています。
皆さんもぜひ10分間昼寝を取ってみてください。

Today’s theme is about napping.
Do you take a nap every day?
I try to take a nap as much as I can on weekdays.
I usually take a 10-minute nap during my lunch hour.
I don’t always get to sleep, so I just close my eyes instead.
I put on an eye mask for 10 minutes and close my eyes.
Just this helps me recover a lot.
Naps are also called power naps, and they are very effective.
Don’t you feel sleepy after eating lunch?
I get sleepy, so I usually have trouble concentrating between 1:00 and 3:00p.m.
There are two things I do to prevent this.
First, I stopped eating rice for lunch.
Instead of white rice, I now eat oatmeal.
This has made me feel much less sleepy.
The second thing I do is to take a nap.
I close my eyes for 10 minutes.
I know that many people touch their cell phones during their lunch break.
Many people check social networking sites, watch YouTube, and do other things.
However, in my experience, touching your cell phone during your lunch break can be very tiring.
After all, your brain is very active during that and you can’t take a break.
So for now, I take a 10-minute nap or just close my eyes.
I think that is very good and I continue to do it.
I recommend everyone to try taking a 10-minute nap.
