今日のテーマは、漢字についてです。
みなさんは、漢字を勉強していますか？
どれくらいの漢字を勉強しましたか？
日本では、６歳から漢字の勉強を始めます。
そして、高校卒業・１８歳まで漢字の勉強をします。
１２年間、漢字を勉強します。
なので、日本人は漢字を読める、そして書けます。
小さい頃から勉強をします。
私が小学生の頃は、毎週漢字テストがありました。
漢字を覚えていないと、テストができないので、一生懸命覚えました。
日本語を勉強している人は、漢字が難しいという人も多いと思います。
とても難しいと思います。
日本人が１２年間勉強していることを、たった数年で覚えようとしているので、とても難しいと思います。
しかし、日本語の本や文章を読むときは、漢字が読めないと、文章を読むことができません。
確かに漢字は難しいんですけれども、ぜひ勉強して少しでも多くの漢字を読めるようになってください。
書けなくてもいいと思います。読むことができればそれでOK。
日本人でも読めるけど書けないという人はたくさんいます。

Have you been studying Kanji?
How many kanji have you studied?
In Japan, students start studying kanji from the age of six.
Then, they study kanji until they graduate from high school at the age of 18.
That’s 12 years of Kanji study.
So, Japanese people can read and write kanji.
They study from a young age.
When I was in elementary school, there was a weekly kanji test.
If I didn’t memorize the kanji, I couldn’t take the test, so I tried my best to memorize them.
I think that many people who are studying Japanese find kanji difficult.
I also think they are very difficult.
It’s very difficult because you are trying to learn in just a few years what Japanese people have been studying for 12 years.
However, when reading Japanese books and texts, you need to be able to read kanji.
It’s true that kanji is difficult, but I think you should learn how to read as many kanji as you can.
It’s okay if you can’t write them but read them.
There are some Japanese people who can read but cannot write.
