Hello, everyone.
This is Mari.
SAKURA TIPS is a Japanese listening Podcast.

————————–

Today’s theme is about holidays.

Golden Week ended yesterday.
There are four holidays during Golden Week.

April 29th was Showa Day.
Showa Day is a day to look back on the many events that took place during the Showa era.
The Showa era lasted for a long time.
It was from 1926 to 1989.
During this era, there were many events such as the war, the Tokyo Olympics, and the Osaka Expo.
This is a day to look back on the Showa era.

May 3rd was Constitution Memorial Day.
This is the day when the current Constitution of Japan was established.

May 4th is Greenery Day. Greenery Day is a day to be thankful for nature.
Well, in May, spring is over, cherry blossoms are over, and there are many new buds.
It’s a perfect holiday because it’s a season of beautiful greenery.

And May 5th is Children’s Day.
It is a day to wish for the growth and happiness of children.

There are so many holidays in such a short period of time.
But many Japanese people don’t know what day it is.
I recently did some research.
The next holiday will be in July.
I can’t wait.
