English

Hello, everyone.
SAKURA TIPS is a Japanese listening Podcast.

————————–

Today’s theme is that sickness starts from the mind.

Have you ever heard of the phrase “sickness starts from the mind”?
Do you have a similar phrase in your own language?
This is probably something that people all over the world have experienced.

For example, you go out to eat at a restaurant with your friends.
The next day, you get a call from your friend.
“Do you feel sick to your stomach? I don’t think I ate well, so my stomach hurts now. Have you ever had such an experience where you were fine before, but now you feel like you have a stomachache?

Also, when you hear that someone else, for example, a colleague, has the flu, you may think, “What? We talked together yesterday. I feel like I have a fever, too.”

In fact, today I experienced the feeling of being sick.
I made an appointment for the vaccine today.
Just an appointment.
But about an hour after the appointment, my arm started to hurt for some reason.
I thought it might be like this after getting a vaccine, but well, I just made an appointment today, so I didn’t get any vaccine or anything.
And yet, I felt pain in my arm.
I think it was because I was thinking about the vaccine all the time, and that’s why my arm felt sore.
I felt like I had received a vaccine.

Have you ever had this experience?
Since sickness is from the mind, let’s spend our time with a cheerful mind.
