今日のテーマは、制服についてです。
皆さんの通っていた学校では、制服がありましたか?
日本では、多くの学校で制服があります。
私が小学生・中学生・高校生の時は、いつも制服を着ていました。
今日は、制服の今考えたらなぜだろうと思うことを話したいと思います。
制服には夏服・合服・冬服の3種類あります。
夏服は、半袖で涼しい服です。
冬服は、コートとかジャケットがあって、冬に着る制服です。
合服というのが、その中間の服装です。
春・秋に着ます。
私の行っていた学校では、移行期間というものがありました。
何月から何月までは、夏服を着ましょう。
今週に合服に変えましょう。
今週冬服に変えましょうと、服を変えるタイミング、衣替えのタイミングが決められていました。
なので私は友達と、「じゃぁ明日から夏服にしよう」と約束をして変えていました。
でもよく考えたら、秋でもまだ暑いと感じる人もいるし、秋でも寒いと感じる人もいると思います。
なぜ学校が、半袖を着るか、長袖を着るか、ジャケットを着るかを決めるのだろうと今になると思います。
ちょっと変ですよね。
なんでそんなことをしてたんだろう、そしてなんで誰も疑問に思わなかったんだろうと不思議です。
まぁ今もその制度があるかわからないんですけれども、私が学生の時はそんな不思議なルールがありました。

Today’s theme is about school uniforms.
Did you have school uniform at your school?
In Japan, many schools have school uniform.
When I was in elementary school, junior high school and high school, we always wore school uniform.
Today, I would like to talk about school uniform and what I wonder about it now.
There are three types of uniforms: summer, middle, and winter.
Summer uniforms are short-sleeved.
The winter uniform has coats and jackets, and is worn in winter.
Aifuku is the in-between type of clothing.
It is worn in spring and fall.
At the school I went to, there was a transition period.
During xx months, we would wear summer clothes.
This week, we’ll change to school uniform.(Summer uniform → Aifuku)
This week we’ll change into winter clothes.
So I talked to my friends that “let’s change into summer clothes tomorrow.”
But if you think about it, some people still feel hot even in autumn, and some people feel cold even in autumn.
Now I wonder why the school decides when students to wear short sleeves, long sleeves, or a jacket.
It’s a little strange, isn’t it?
I wonder why they did that, and why no one questioned it.
Well, I don’t know if that system still exists today, but when I was a student, there was such a strange rule.
