Hello, everyone.
SAKURA TIPS is a Japanese listening Podcast.

————————–

Today’s theme is about eating out.

Do you often go out to eat?
Gaishoku means eating out, like at a restaurant.

Since the start of Corona, I have had fewer opportunities to go out to eat.
I think it’s the same for most of you.
Today, I went out to eat for the first time in a long time.
I usually spend most of my time at home, but today I went to, well, a hospital, an eye clinic.
I went to Shinjuku because I had to go to a clinic for my eyes.
I don’t usually go to Shinjuku because it’s too crowded.
But today, since I hadn’t been to Shinjuku in a while, I thought, “Since I’ve come all this way, maybe it might be a good idea to get something to eat before I go home,” so I went to a restaurant.

The restaurant was a common chain restaurant.
It was the first time I had eaten out in a long time.
I ate, uh, soup and some seafood.
When I go to a restaurant, I often order the same food only.
I know some people say, “I want to order something different every time so I can taste something new,” but I always order the same thing.
Because I have already had it once and I know that it is delicious.
I’m the type of person who can’t take on new adventures.
I always order the same thing because I don’t want to be disappointed if the food I order is not good.
I ordered the same thing today, and it was good as I already knew.
I was satisfied with it.

I usually eat at home, so I thought it would be nice to eat at a restaurant like this once in a while.
Do you usually go out to eat?
