私は今日実家に帰ってきました。
だいたい日本人は、年末年始の休み(ニューイヤーホリデー)に合わせて、たくさんの人が実家に帰ったり、他、旅行に行ったりします。
私は飛行機の値段が高くなる前に帰ってきました。
実家に帰るとまず、空港まで車で迎えに来てくれて、そして家に帰ったらおいしいご飯ができていました。
とてもありがたいなぁと思いました。
そして、私がこうやって早く混雑する日にちを避けて実家に帰ることができるのも、リモートワークができる仕事をしているからです。
これに対しても本当にありがたいなと思いました。
人はよく当たり前の事として感謝を忘れてしまいがちです。
私もそうです。
実家に帰ったらご飯があること、それを当たり前だと思っていました。
でもよく考えると、それは当たり前ではなくて、本当にありがたいなと感謝をするようになりました。
すべての事はそうですよね。
例えば飛行機が飛ぶのもありがたいし、帰る家があるのもありがたいし。
すべてのことに感謝しないといけないなと思いました。

Today’s theme is about appreciation.
I went back to my parents’ house today.
Most Japanese people go back to their parents’ home or go on a trip during the New Year holiday.
I came back before the price of flights became too high.
When I went back to my parents’ house, the first thing they did was to pick me up from the airport by car, and when I got home, there was a delicious meal ready for me.
I felt very grateful.
The reason why I am able to go home early and avoid busy days is because I can work remotely.
I’m really grateful for that, too.
People tend to take things for granted and forget to be grateful.
I was the same way.
I used to take it for granted that there would be food when I went home.
But when I think about it carefully, I’ve come to appreciate that it’s not a matter of course, and I’m really grateful for it.
That’s true for everything, isn’t it?
For example, I’m grateful that my plane flies, and I’m grateful that I have a home to go back to.
I realized that I need to be grateful for everything.
