Hello, everyone.
SAKURA TIPS is a Japanese listening Podcast.

————————–

Today’s theme is about goals for the New Year.

It’s been roughly a week and a half since the year 2022 started.
So, I finally set my goals for 2022 the other day.
So I’d like to talk about it today.

I set various goals.
I set goals for my work, my health, my studies, and many other things.
Among them, the goal I want to achieve the most is to stay in a good mood.
When you live, you will have hard times, sad times, angry times sometimes.
No matter what happens, I will try to stay in a good mood.
I would like to make that as my number one goal.
For example, it’s raining in Tokyo today.
It’s colder than usual.
I can’t even go for a walk, which I love.
I’ve been trying all day today to stay in a good mood even on days like this.
Just by being conscious, I can stay in a good mood.
If I don’t pay attention to anything, I may start to feel down, but when that happens, I notice and control my feelings.
As I continue to do this every day, I’m gradually learning to do that.

So, there is a phrase that I often hear in my studies.
It is, “It’s not that you smile because you are happy, but you are happy because you smile”.
So I try to smile even while working or taking a bath.
I hope this will gradually become a natural part of my life.

What are your resolutions for 2022?
