今日のテーマはゴールデンウィークについてです。

今日は4月29日木曜日です。
今日は祝日で休みでした。
日本では、今日からゴールデンウィークが始まりました。

皆さんは、ゴールデンウィークを知っていますか?
ゴールデンウィークとは、4月の最後から5月にかけて1週間ほど休みになる時期のことをいいます。
1週間の間に、4日、祝日があります。
今日は1つ目の祝日、昭和の日でした。
今日から1週間程度休みになる人が多いと思います。
残念ながら、私は、明日仕事があります。
でも、明日仕事に行けば、土曜日から水曜日まで休みです。

人によっては、有給休暇を使ったりして、10日間の休みを取る人もいます。
私はいつも、このゴールデンウィークに海外旅行に行っていました。
しかし、去年と今年はどこにも行けません。
来年はぜひ海外旅行に行きたいです。

みなさんの国には、ゴールデンウィークがありますか?

Today’s theme is about Golden Week.

Today is Thursday, April 29th.
Today was a national holiday and I was off.
In Japan, Golden Week has started today.

Do you know what Golden Week is?
Golden Week is a time when people take a week off from the end of April to May.
During the week, there are four national holidays.
Today was the first holiday, Showa no Hi.
I think many people will have a week off from today.
Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow.
But if I go to work tomorrow, I will be off from Saturday to Wednesday.

Some people take 10 days off, using paid vacations.
I always used to travel abroad during Golden Week.
However, last year and this year, I can’t go anywhere.
I really want to go on a trip abroad next year.
