Hello, everyone.
This is Mari , SAKURATIPS.

I will speak Japanese slowly.

Today’s theme is about shrines.

Have you ever been to a shrine?
Which shrines have you been to?

I went to a shrine yesterday.
I went to a shrine while I was taking a walk.

I hadn’t been to a shrine yet this year, so this was my first visit to a shrine in 2021.
In Japan, we go to a shrine at the beginning of the year.
This is called Hatsumode.

I went on a Hatsumode on January 27th.
This is very late.
At the shrine, I bought an omikuji.
Omikuji is a fortune telling tool that tells your fortune for the year.

The omikuji has a ranking of about seven fortunes, and I got “Shokichi”.
That’s not a good fortune.
However, I would like to make my fortune for this year regardless of the Omikuji.

Shrines are very sacred places.
Some people go there every day to pray.

I only go about three times a year.
But when I do, I feel very good.

When you come to Japan, please try to visit a shrine.

Well, that’s it for today.
Thank you for listening to me again today.
I’ll see you tomorrow.

Im glad if you support me to make podcast!
